Had to make an effort to wish everyone a very happy 2009. May your dreams be realised in the very best of ways.
We spent the best of times with friends - wandering out to the beach throughout the evening to see what was going on and finally going up at 11.30 to catch a bit of a concert and then see out the old year with a firework display. The new one came in a bit damply and caught us unawares with a quick shower as we walked home to bed!
This morning we took advantage of being at The Mount and after breakfast in one of the local cafes, walked round the mount and enjoyed the hot day.
The afternoon was more restful although I did manage a little gardening and am now moved to clean the car so I can dare to venture out in it in this sparkly clean new year!
